Summer 2023 RML Relay Races

We typically host two RML community events per year, with the goal of building community amongst our students, their families, and our team of interventionists. It is especially important for our students to meet other children who share their struggles and to feel part of a larger community. We aim to host a variety of events to foster these connections and give our students opportunities to showcase and explore their interests and talents.

Our Summer 2023 event introduced some friendly competition with a series of relay races, including egg races and a water balloon toss. The students loved getting to be on teams with their tutors and watching them participate in these silly races. Together, we laughed and celebrated a summer of hard work and success!

Winter Rocky Mountain Literacy Event at Natura Obscura

Our students and families celebrated another semester of personal and educational growth by visiting the immersive art exhibit, Natura Obscura, at the Museum of Outdoor Arts! Special thanks to Jessica Brack and the MOA for helping to make this event a reality!

Our students and families enjoyed getting to know each other better while exploring the surrealist forest of Natura Obscura. They searched for magical woodland creatures, read quotes inspired by nature, and enjoyed the beautiful and relaxing visuals, sounds, and smells of the forest!

Rocky Mountain Literacy Winter 2019-2020 Event

Rocky Mountain Literacy's Aerospace Explorers!

We wrapped up a successful summer of learning with the first ever Rocky Mountain Literacy Event! We met in the park for a picnic and a series of aerospace themed activities led by engineers from Raytheon. The children had a chance to learn about and create model satellites, build their own bottle rockets, and complete a GPS scavenger hunt! We are so proud of our students’ hard work and progress this summer and look forward to a great school year ahead!
